Good for a quick trip

Overall decent experience

I rented a 'Glamping Tent Rental' for a trip we had planned. The tent itself was clean and well-maintained, and it definitely added a nice touch to our campsite. Shipping took about 6 days to get to me in Michigan, which was a bit longer than I hoped, so plan ahead. Setup instructions were clear, though. Returning it was pretty straightforward with the pre-paid label. My only minor issue was one of the lantern batteries died pretty quickly, but I had spares. Good value for what we paid, and saved us from buying a huge tent.

Saved money on camping gear

Has anyone rented a full glamping tent setup from Outdoors Geek before? We're trying to figure out if it's worth it compared to just buying cheaper stuff from Amazon, or even vs like Arrive Outdoors.

Their glamping tents are legit, super high quality. I did one for a bachelorette party and it was amazing, way better than anything you'd get on Amazon. Not sure about Arrive though, never used them.

The quality is definitely a step up from basic gear. You're paying for convenience and good brands like Big Agnes, which you wouldn't get with super cheap stuff. I'd check prices for both and see what fits your budget, but OG is usually for better quality rentals.

I'd say order at least a week, maybe even two if you're nervous, just to be safe. They're usually pretty good but shipping can be wild sometimes. You pick your return date when you order too, so that's nice.

Their gear is pretty solid. I've rented snowshoes and poles from them. It's not like bargain bin stuff, definitely good brands.

They sell new and used gear, so chances are pretty good you can buy it, especially if it's a popular model. I'd imagine the price would be discounted if it's the specific one you used, since it's already 'used'.
